Polands-Syndrome.com was started in 1997 to collect and share information on Poland's Syndrome, an extremely rare, sporatic congenital deformity with an as yet undetermined cause. It affects only one side of the body and is characterized by a missing pectoral muscle and a smaller-than-normal hand that may also have shorted, fused or "webbed" fingers.
Polands-Syndrome.com is visited each month by more than 2500 people from all over the world who either have or know someone who has Poland's Syndrome.
This web site is not affiliated with or owned, sponsored, supported or maintained by any group, charity, medical professional or organization. It was orinally created by and continues to be supported and maintained solely by one indivual with Poland's Syndrome.
All areas of the site are completely free and open to the public, though any commercial use or reproduction is prohibited. Donations for its upkeep are gratefully accepted but are never solicted.
Any personally identifying information collected by this site is held in the strictest of confidence and is not shared with any third party.
